Monday
Today I went into St Albans town, for the first time in AGES, and ran some errands with my little brother.
- Grad ball dress in for alterations
- Getting supplies for my dissertation
- Impromptu shopping
I was also guaranteed my house for next year, which was exciting. I spent some more time organizing files between my laptoo, phone and hard drive (as IT as I get) and finalising my career plan and CV for marking.
Tuesday
I headed into London with my brother and went to visit our Aji and Abba (Indian grandparents) and ended up relearning more about our family history and Indian Culture. We discussed going to India this Christmas (which i really hope happens as i am ready for it now and so excited). Family time was so lovely, and reconnecting with my little cousins as well.
In the evening we were straight into Watford watching Dumbo with mum dad and my brother. I really enjoy days where I just go straight from one thing to the other. I can really make the most out of my day that way- while ensuring I have rest days.
Dumbo was amazing, we finished the evening by having a meal out in St Albans. I am getting more phone-less days again naturally and I am feeling better for it, and staying on track and keeping most of my daily activities going.
My brother said to me- you are healthy only when you do it naturally and not forced or thinking of it. I naturally go to do my handstand training, abs or push ups- it is now a part of me.
Wednesday
Last day at home and it is pretty chilled. I have been catching up with 'Our Planet' and am now even more dedicated to creating the short dance clip this summer around a similar ancient philosophy linked to climate change and global warming.
This break at home as really allowed to relax and focus on my daily goals- realise again why I want them (not only to improve but to stay active in manageable doses everyday regardless of what I am doing) and to improve my healthy eating again [by no means am I anywhere close yet].
Thursday
Traveling back up North is always A LONG JOURNEY but i always end up in the cutest conversations with strangers.
To be honest it isn't the most exciting day to write about other than traveling from late morning to late afternoon, getting a food shop in and then catching up with all my blogging and other admin work.
The sun always shines when I am inside BUT i got gifted a new set of cards which each show a technique to help with stress release- I will update my @dance_therapy_tammie instagram account daily with them.
Friday
Waking up it was my first proper shift at my new work. I got through my daily tasks, but honestly it was pretty relaxed.
It wasn't until I started working to work that I realised how stunning the weather was. Work wasn't too busy when i started, and on my break I made use of the rare British Weather and went for a long stroll around the town.
I felt so rewarded coming back in the early hours of the morning, knowing I am working again. I know I have all the support I need should I need it, yet I love being able to stand on my own to feet and really push myself to know my boundaries.
I cannot wait until Sunday morning where I can go to YOGA again, and then start the gym again on my days off.
Saturday
Morning everyone. The sun is still shining but it isn't quite as warm as yesterday.
I will enjoy a nice yoga sequence, done from home, and continue working on my handstand practice now that my wrists have had a few days off.
Try and catch up on some admin before I am back in work tonight.
Sunday
This week caught up on me. Its a beautiful day, I'm not in work until later so i have no excuse to not be outside. Revision in the sun it is.
