As you are reading this/ as I am writing I have just arrived at my hostel in Tbilsi, Georgia. My summer has started.
It has been a crazy two months.
Leaving Malta I was so sad to see everyone off but was amazed and touched with the lovely sentiments given by my lovely amazing friends. I ended up leaving a few bits behind that didn't fit but always falls into the perfect excuse to come back. Unfortunately I couldn't his summer but will plan in the year ahead. I won't lose contact with everyone here.
I have to admit my summer hasn't been full of dancing. The day after landing I went straight to Canterbury to fill in my role as Activity Manager. I signed up to the gym and was attending regularly, and had my allocated time in the morning for some yoga and relaxations- I couldn't complain. Then after two weeks was then transferred to the middle of England, Loughborough, to help a failing camp. I was beyond proud I was called upon- especially with my age and no training or previous experience. The next month was so hectic, I barely had time for myself- but I became so proud of how everything was running. I learnt a lot about myself and gained confidence that I am on the right path and am more than capable of what I want to achieve.
Never did I think I would be dealing with half the stuff I was; accusations of theft in stores, bullying, communicating in Italian. But I got through it all and now have just under a month to dedicate to University preparation and of course travelling.
As I haven't danced as much I will create a blog on the effects only a few weeks off has, and know I have to push harder to get back into shape. I have begun my daily stretch and strengthening exercises again that I will make a post on soon. Even if you cant dance do something to keep your body moving.
THIS BRINGS ME FLASHBACKS TO MY TARROT CARD READING IN ATHENS WHERE THEY TOLD ME THIS YEAR I NEED TO MOVE MORE- AND I ALREADY HAVE A LIST OF NEW DANCES TO LEARN.
The only style of dance I have done since being back in the UK is Kizumba and Salsa, where my best friend took me to some local classes. I LOVED IT. This was the style I was looking for in Malta but never got replies on. I have space for one more class before going back up to University. This is a style I want to keep up with, and study more in Spain.
Besides work and dance I have been through an emotional development. I am still overcoming my issues with anxiety and food but am feeling stronger than ever. I have been tested and learnt to hold onto my believes and hopes- seeing the world through slightly rose tinted glasses- but keeping my head screwed on. So much has changed in such a short space of time but you have to go with the tide- blow where the wind takes you and know its the world putting you on the right course. Don't be scared of change
No you're up to date I can continue with the weekly blogs; where I will fill you in on my travels and preparations.
WELCOME BACK TAM AND HOW I HAVE MISSED THIS.
